Virat Kohli is a kind of person of is always a center of attraction not just because of his ace cricket skills but also because of his other things like a most money-making celebrity in India, when fans harass his wife, his fights and arguments in the field with his rivals and many times because of his aggressive playing in the cricket field. There are so many reasons for him to make news not just for one day but for many days. He is kind of a trouble maker but he is the kind of player who had helped his team countless times and is still doing and will continue to do it until he steps out there in the field for the last time. The way he says things and the way he does things just amaze me. I remember in one interview he was honest that he just said when he thinks he is not able to play anymore like he is not able to give his all in the field he will just retire that day and age doesn’t matter to him. I was so fascinated by this comment I was like how can someone be this honest and straightforward. There are so many players out there playing for their respective countries and they many times are not able to give their all but they continue to play irrespective of the fact whether they can contribute or not. But according to Virat Kohli the day he won’t be able to give it all he won’t play and will never put a step on the field because if we continue to play when he isn’t able to give it all he has got he is kind of betraying the game which he loves so much and he has put all his life in that. This thought is so powerful and awesome. He is an amazing player indeed.
Many times he is in the news because his wife and soon to be a mother of his first child has to face harsh comments when he isn’t able to perform. It is very weird and strange and uncool how a person is linked to someone else’s defeat or why another person is held responsible if someone is not able to perform well? For Virat Kohli, it has been a normal thing now where his wife his held responsible when he doesn’t perform well on the field. There are many matches when Anushka Sharma is held responsible for his husband’s bad performance just because she was there to support him in the crowd and for people out there is like a curse because they consider whenever Anushka will show herself on the ground Virat won’t perform well and the team will lose the game. There are lots of matches like this where this shit happened like 2015 world cup semifinals,2016 IPL finals and many other matches where he wasn’t able to perform well and Anushka was held responsible which is absurd.
Now this time it happened again but this time it wasn’t just some person it was India’s former captain, Mr Sunil Gavaskar. A prodigy a legend in saying did some shit this time. This happened this last Thursday when Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli, had a poor outing in their league match against Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2020. In this match, Virat Kohli dropped down two crucial catches of Kings XI Punjab’s captain KL Rahul, who went on to score an unbeaten century after that and in return when everyone was expecting a ton from Virat Kohli he was dismissed very easily and scored only one run of five deliveries he faced. On this incident, Sunil Gavaskar made a very harsh comment which was like this “Ab Jo lock down tha toh, sirf Anushka ke bowling ki practice ki unhone, voh video dekhiye. Usse toh kuch nahi banna hai (He only practiced against Anushka’s bowling during the lockdown) and he blamed Anushka for his failure. I don’t why? But Anushka didn’t step back and she backfired with all she can and replied Gavaskar for this by posting a story on Instagram which goes like this “That, Mr Gavaskar, your message is distasteful is a fact but I would love for you to explain why you thought of making such a sweeping statement on a wife accusing her of her husband’s game? I’m sure over the years you have respected the private lives of every cricketer while commentating on the game. Don’t you think you should have an equal amount of respect for me and us? I’m sure you can have many other words and sentences in your mind to use to comment on my husband’s performance from last night or are your words only relevant if you use my name in the process? Its 2020 and things still don’t change for me. When will I stop getting dragged into cricket and stop being used to pass sweeping statements? Respected Mr Gavaskar, you are a legend whose name stands tall in this gentleman’s game. Just wanted to tell you what I felt when I heard you say this.” she was correct in what she said and she took s stand for herself.
This is a very strange and bad thing when people out there who called themselves as fans target poor Anushka for Kohli’s failure. There is this thing if Kohli is succeeding it is all his efforts and win and if he is failing it is on him and it is his failure and problem it has nothing to do with anyone else. I hope people will understand this and stop targeting her and she made a bold comment and took a stand for herself which was amazing and she like an inspiration to others that is like you have to earn respect and protect yourself and you must take a stand for yourself.
