It is a normal Bollywood movie starring Sushant Singh Rajput, who truly was an eternal star. The movie mainly focuses upon common beliefs people have. The movie shows a young boy who lives with his father who has great expectations of him. The father promises him various gifts if he gets high scores. He feels pressured under all these expectations.
Later in the movie the boy tries to commit suicide and is hospitalized in a very serious condition. He did this because he did not have the courage to face society. He is also afraid of being called a loser. The father feels guilty when he comes to know this and also for not supporting his son after his failures. Laakhon Mein Ek is an Indian television series by Biswa Kalyan Rath. It portrays the insights of struggles of a teenager. Set in Raipur, the story revolves around a teenage boy Aakash. The boy is under pressure to prepare for IIT but actually wants to make mimicry videos and post them online. His father forces him to study far away from home in a coaching institute called Genius Infinity in Visakhapatnam. The boy doesn’t feel okay and finds it difficult to cope up with the syllabus. He finds his solution to all the problems in drugs. The boy takes drugs that help him to stay up late in the night. He cheats in the exams and passes to section A of the batch. He also gets caught while cheating. His own batchmates torture him.
He feels helpless and tries to end his life. He is found on the brink of the terrace top to jump off, but his roommate stops him. Aakash gets caught and starts a riot in the institute. The management sends him back home for ill behaviour. His father becomes furious and thinks of him as a useless person. The furious father declares that the boy shall study science in a local college right in front of his eyes. Aakash feels completely disappointed and runs away from home after stealing some money.
The story altogether concludes that we cannot achieve anything until we really want to do it. Also parents’ forcing the children wouldn’t do them anything good . Child’s own dream comes true because he is going to work hard for it.
Nil Battey Sannata
Nil Battey Sannata is a 2015 comedy-drama Hindi film. This movie was also released internationally as “The New Classmate”. Any child who hates Maths can easily relate to this movie. In fact, many schools have shown this movie in the campus itself. This is really an inspirational film. The movie portrays the life of a poor child who hates maths. The girl has least interest in studying. She has already struggled a lot in reaching high school. She enjoys doing everything other than studying. Her single mother who works as a maid at a doctor’s house tries to explain the importance of studying a number of times but fails desperately. Since her mother is a maid, the girl thinks that she should also become a maid in future. So studying is a worthless thing to her.
This movie however has a lovely twist. The mother decides to join her daughter’s school as her classmate. She feels that this will create a competition and also daughter might feel ashamed for not scoring good marks when her mother did. The rest of the story will leave you with goosebumps.
