The three title fights – Flyweight, Strawweight, and Welterweight – were the main events at UFC 261. The remaining bouts were for Middleweight and Light Heavyweight divisions. The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is a worldwide event in which fighters compete in an octagon. Dana White, the President of the UFC, is currently in charge of the organization. He is regarded as the UFC’s kingpin. Ultimate Fighting Champion is the world’s biggest Mixed Martial Arts Company. And worldwide revenue of more than a billion dollars. Their first event took place in Denver, Colorado, 28 years ago. The prime goal of this organization is to find the best martial arts in a competition with no weight classes. Several different combat styles have included in this case.

As the events progressed, the fighters began to embrace new tactics and became accustomed to more than one style . which contributed to developing a new technique known as Mixed Martial Arts. UFC announced a partnership with the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) in 2015. Most have tested positive for doping, including Anderson Silva, who tested 15 times. and even champion Jon Jones, tested positive for doping before his fight with Daniel “DC” Cormier. Fighters had to lose weight to weigh in their acceptable weight class . when the weight divisions added. The most challenging part of the fight for today’s warriors is cutting weight. The two stages followed it – Dehydration and Diet; they have to hast their diet and dehydrate their body . which will reduce the weight in a quicker span.

What happened in UFC 261 main card?

We got to see the three division champions defend their titles against their rivals . the main event, as well as Middleweight and Light Heavyweight bouts. The outcomes unexpected and bizarre, which enraged the crowd.

It isn’t the first time this has happened; in fact, Anderson Silva suffered the same leg break against Chris Weidman . and he even wished Weidman on his official Instagram account.

Valentina Shevchenko defended her Women Flyweight title after defeating Jéssica Andrade by KO/TKO in Round 1 in 3 minutes and 19 seconds.

Despite taking a break from the UFC after winning the title . Experiencing a lot of social tension due to the publicity she was getting. She wants the championship back, and in UFC 261, she conquered current Strawweight Champion Weili Zhang to reclaim what was hers. In the post-fight press conference, Namajunas said that she had length with Zhang and waited for a good opening, and made her move. In 1 minute and 18 seconds, she won by KO/TKO in Round 1.

Then comes the biggest rematch ever, Usman vs Masvidal 2 for the World Welterweight Championship. Both of them used to have lots of feuds between them since Usman defeated Masvidal in UFC 251 on July 17, 2020. Jorge Masvidal wasn’t happy because he accepted the fight on short notice (6 weeks). Kamaru Usman gave him another chance to defend himself against him for the title on UFC 261, an offer Jorge Masvidal always wanted. As the match started, Usman and Masvidal were going back and forth, throwing punches and counters. Later came Round 2, where Usman finished Masvidal by KO/TKO in 1 minute and 2 seconds.

The crowd was going crazy after seeing Usman’s right hook to Masvidal’s face that made him fall unconscious, aka cold knockout. Jorge Masvidal, who never been knocked down in his entire UFC career, respects Usman for doing so. He later thanked his family and all the people who supported him. Usman defends his title and remains the World Welterweight Champion. Usman celebrated his win by bringing his wife and kid and his parents to the octagon then giving his belt to his father, showing how grateful he is.

Colby Covington was right outside the octagon seeing all this . because Dana White has confirmed that whoever wins the Usman vs Masvidal’s match will face Covington. As Usman already defeated and broke Covington’s jaw, let’s see if he can do it again or lose his title to Covington.

Is Nick Diaz back at UFC?

Nick Diaz is going to fight confirmed by Dana White on UFC 261.

Nick Diaz is the elder brother of Nate Diaz, who known as the Diaz Brothers. In 2015, while his match against Anderson Silva, Silva won by unanimous decision at UFC 183. The result later turned out to be No Contest. Nick Diaz tested positive for Cannabis with Marijuana metabolites in his system by NSAC. Later on, he suspended for five years from the UFC. He was also fined $165,000.
Nick Diaz filed an appeal to NSAC’s rules, which got his suspension span reduced to 18 months. But, he could not pay the fine; he was not eligible to step into the octagon and fight again. After having an agreement with the NSAC, Nick was able to be on the ringside with his brother Nate.
When Nick teased a possible comeback in 2020, but nothing happened ever . Since Dana White wasn’t ready and not interested in Nick Diaz, seeing Nick Diaz in the UFC 261 made the crowd go crazy.
Dana White has confirmed that Nick Diaz will get his fight soon after he talks with him backstage after the post-fight press conference.

When is UFC 262, and where will it take place?

UFC 262 will happen at Houstan, Texas.

UFC 262 will be taking place in Toyota Center, Texas.
Tony Ferguson, the comeback we are all waiting for, will be fighting against Beneil Dariush in the Lightweight division. Charles Oliveria would be defending himself against Michael Chandler in the Lightweight division. Leon Edwards will see him fighting against Nate Diaz in the Welterweight division. Kaitlyn Chookagian and Viviane Araujo in the Women’s Flyweight division. For the featherweight, Burgos and Barboza will be defending each other at UFC 262.
In UFC 263, we’ll see Israel defend his title against Vettori, but the most awaited fight is on July 10, Dustin Poirier vs Conor McGregor 3. Meanwhile, McGregor and Usman back to back beef tweets were going on and on. Conor confirms that soon Welterweight would be his.
According to Usman’s fight scheduling manager, it said that Usman wants to defend his title again on July 10th.
